The programme of complementary activities accompanying the exhibition «Castreño Pottery in Galicia: Research and Recovery» continues in Sanxenxo with two Castreño pottery workshops aimed at adults.
The Fundación Terra Termarum Castrolandín is organising these activities at the A Telleira Interpretation Centre, as part of the programme accompanying the exhibition during its stay in Sanxenxo.
The workshops will offer participants the opportunity to approach Castreño pottery from a practical perspective and work directly with clay, learning about some of the techniques used in the research and recovery work carried out by the Experimental Castreño Pottery Workshop of Castrolandín.
Through this experience, participants will discover how the study of preserved archaeological pieces, their fragments and archaeological documentation makes it possible to research and recover the forms, manufacturing techniques and finishes of pottery from the Iron Age.
🏺 Two workshops, two dates
The workshops will take place on two different dates:
- Saturday, 3 October, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday, 10 October, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Each workshop will have a maximum of 15 participants and prior registration is required.
Important: registration is for the full-day workshop, so participants are expected to attend both the morning and afternoon sessions.
The activity is free of charge, subject to prior registration.
